Circuit Foil America
In 1999 , Circuit Foil Luxembourg (CFL) and Société Générale de Financement du Québec (SGF) signed a shareholder’s agreement following two years of negotiations regarding a major investment in North America – Circuit Foil America.
The choice of the location was based on the following key factors :
Proximity of US market and within NAFTA territory ;
Good infrastructure (energy and transportation) ;
Skilled workforce ;
Partnership with SGF. |

The construction of the CFA factory started in May 2000 and ended in September 2001.
The factory, which became operational in 2002, is designed to produce 5500 tons per year.
Due to a major downturn in the copper foil market in the prior years, the manufacturing facility was mothballed in Q2 2005.
Presently, the current activity covers slitting and sheeting of imported foils from Europe.
